About
Álvaro is a third year Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology student with a minor in European Language and Transcultural Studies: French and Francophone. Previously he was a Learning Assistant for UCLA and now is working as a Peer Learning Facilitator at UCLA for organic chemistry. Álvaro is excited to volunteer in the Mack Lab where he is interested in learning about the biochemical pathways and molecular mechanisms that shape the mechanobiology of endothelial cells. Although originally from Patagonia, he considers himself a true California native who loves swimming, vegetarian food, and longboarding. In his free time, you'll find him watching terrible reality TV, trying out new restaurants, and doing puzzles.
